Description

We want to protect the precious commodity of water in the best possible way by providing customized engineering services. Are you passionate about water, do you have a talent for communication and would you like to help us make the world a better place? Then we are looking for you as Project manager for water restoration / limnology (m/f/d) in Hanover, Osnabrück or Hamburg.

Your tasks:

• Planning and monitoring of watercourse remediation - from exploratory investigations to monitoring after remediation has been completed
• Preparation of tender documents for water restoration in accordance with VOB
• Conception of field investigations, planning and monitoring of sediment sampling and evaluation of the investigation results
• You are the contact person for the client and for the specialist authority
• You take on the technical management of the project and lead it to success. You always act in a binding manner and keep an eye on time and costs
• You will expand our water restoration portfolio and help build a team that also deals with limnological issues:
• Limnological investigations and sampling
• Carrying out qualitative and quantitative phyto- and zooplankton analyses
• Further investigations for water evaluation according to WFD
• Compilation of results and reporting
• Preparation of expert reports and technical contributions in accordance with the WFD
• Interface between the status assessment of water bodies and any subsequent water body remediation

In the first step, you can expect a comprehensive induction in the field of water remediation within ongoing projects. You will get to know and coordinate the interface between the specialist disciplines of contaminated sites, water and soil/waste management. In the medium term, you will be responsible for setting up a limnological department in order to assess the specific condition of a body of water and develop concepts for measures to improve its condition.

What you bring with you:

• You have successfully completed a degree in biology, hydrogeology, geology, environmental engineering or similar.
• You have already gained professional experience in the theoretical and practical field of limnology / water evaluation / desludging / water remediation.
• You have experience in planning, tendering and public procurement law.
• You keep a cool head even in tricky situations.
• You have the motivation to develop yourself further in the field of contaminated site and water remediation.
• You enjoy building and leading project teams and ideally have some experience in this area.
• You are naturally a team player and a strong communicator.
